Reporting to the President & CEO of Solas Energy – US, the Sales Manager will be responsible for the direction and management of all sales and business development operations, including market competitiveness, market penetration strategy, key account management, oversight, and development of regional markets. The Sales Manager will also drive customer acquisition and revenue goals. Approximately 60-75% travel is required for this position. Please see the job description for more details.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Closely manage sales pipeline from first customer interaction through contract signature and hand over to our project teams.
  • Lead commercial and legal negotiations for contracts.
  • Develop proposals, sales presentations, and target client lists.
  • Conduct services pricing analysis, and competitor assessments, and develop pricing strategies.
  • Create a culture of success with ongoing business and goal achievement.
  • Develop annual sales and strategic business plans to drive target revenue and market share.
  • Assess market potential and identify new business opportunities and strategic partnerships.
  • Provide expertise to the company by building, developing, and managing a sales team capable of executing to the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Develop and implement sales selling cycle and methodology based on market research and competitor analyses, holding the sales and business development team accountable for KPIs.

  • Work in conjunction with the CEO and department heads to cultivate customer relationships and develop and implement strategies for expanding the company’s client base.

Education and/or Experience

  • 10+ years of experience developing, managing, and growing a sales team on a national level.
  • Significant B2B sales experience in the renewable energy sector.
  • Experience recruiting, hiring, training, and developing a sales team, including sales funnel management and structuring sales quota and revenue expectations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage sales pipeline from prospect to contract.
  • Strong client retention track record.
  • Strong closing skills with a proven track record of increasing revenue and market share.
  • Experience working closely with marketing teams to collaborate on market research and competitive analysis to improve sales efficiency and win rate.

  • This is a full-time, non-exempt position. This position will be located remotely. Salary will depend on experience level and will have a base plus bonus structure.

The Consulting Services Manager will lead the Consulting department for Solas Energy – US. The Manager will have Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibility for the department, will oversee execution for all consulting projects, and will be responsible for developing and supervising all personnel within the department. Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Manages the permitting process and environmental compliance of renewable energy projects.
  • Conduct agency permit negotiations on behalf of Solas Energy clients.
  • Serve as agency point of contact to represent renewable energy projects.

  • Demonstrated experience overseeing wildlife and biological studies, critical issues analysis, waste management and hazardous material compliance, SWPPP, SPCC, annual compliance reporting, NEPA or state-EPA permitting, consultations with local, state and federal agencies.
  • Prior supervisory skills not required but preferred.
  • GIS experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance (NERC, FERC) preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in biology, engineering, environmental science, or related field.
  • Strong technical writing and editing aptitude.

Solas Energy Consulting US, headquartered in Fort Collins, Colorado is seeking a full-time renewable energy project manager with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Project and Construction Management within multiple areas of renewable energy. The Project Manager will be a passionate and motivated individual who is easily adaptable and has a strong technical foundation to provide services across a wide range of active projects, including those in the project development, design, construction, and operational phases. Principle Responsibilities

  • Assist clients in the project development and project management of renewable energy projects throughout the project life cycle – from development to construction to operational hand-off.
  • Assist Solas Energy in business development efforts to grow the business including client relations, proposal development, and attendance at conferences and workshops
  • Develop plans and estimates for projects; including equipment and construction pricing, labor rates and schedules, and productivity estimates.
  • Establish and review construction budgets, maintain construction schedules, review work scopes, review and respond to RFIs, submittals, and change orders.

Position Overview and Job Description

The Field Engineer will assist in the project and construction management of renewable energy projects on behalf of Solas Energy’s clients for projects under development, construction, or in operations. The Field Engineer will also assist with business development, business planning, and other work as needed. This is a traveling field position.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Project Field Engineers are field representatives of the Project Manager for each project and assist in managing the design, engineering, and construction of renewable energy projects.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute project proposals or work plans to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of projects to ensure that project requirements fit with other Company projects or considerations.
  • Oversee work plan for each phase of project execution, including design, engineering, procurement, and construction.
  • Responsible for review and oversight of quality control benchmarks to support construction quality control plans and project schedules.
  • Coordinate preparation and updates of project execution plans and schedules, including engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
  • Coordinate the external bidding process required to procure goods and services necessary for all phases of project execution, including preparation of bid packages and evaluation of proposals.
  • Provide and/or coordinate engineering support for development and permitting activities as needed. Secondary responsibility for overseeing execution of and compliance with construction contracts. Work with construction team to ensure adequate scopes of work under those contracts.
  • Organize regularly scheduled project meetings to facilitate, confirm, and communicate status of progress and assign tasks.
  • Support project developers in developing projects and provide assistance procuring requests for proposals (RFPs) related to the projects/sites for which the Field Engineer is responsible.
  • Work in partnership with project developers to ensure a seamless transition of sites into the construction phase.
  • Provide technical comments/commercial terms on construction agreements as needed. Work with Operations to define the requirements for adequate project turn-over.
  • Assist Asset Management in transitioning and turning over projects to Operations upon project completion.
  • Coordinate and work with legal resources to facilitate the development, negotiation, and execution of project contracts, which may include MOUs, LOIs, term sheets, CM and EPC contracts, turbine supply agreements, equipment purchase agreements, warranty agreements, and commissioning agreements. Participate and assist with construction and financial closings.
  • Assist Construction Manager(s) overseeing quality control personnel during execution of projects and ensure compliance with reporting requirements under EPC contracts and lender agreements, and to internal management.
