Reporting to the President & CEO of Solas Energy – US, the Sales Manager will be responsible for the direction and management of all sales and business development operations, including market competitiveness, market penetration strategy, key account management, oversight, and development of regional markets. The Sales Manager will also drive customer acquisition and revenue goals. Approximately 60-75% travel is required for this position. Please see the job description for more details.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Closely manage sales pipeline from first customer interaction through contract signature and hand over to our project teams.
- Lead commercial and legal negotiations for contracts.
- Develop proposals, sales presentations, and target client lists.
- Conduct services pricing analysis, and competitor assessments, and develop pricing strategies.
- Create a culture of success with ongoing business and goal achievement.
- Develop annual sales and strategic business plans to drive target revenue and market share.
- Assess market potential and identify new business opportunities and strategic partnerships.
- Provide expertise to the company by building, developing, and managing a sales team capable of executing to the company’s strategic objectives.
- Develop and implement sales selling cycle and methodology based on market research and competitor analyses, holding the sales and business development team accountable for KPIs.
- Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales, methods, costs, and results.
- Work in conjunction with the CEO and department heads to cultivate customer relationships and develop and implement strategies for expanding the company’s client base.
- Lead with a compelling strategic vision that is in alignment with the organization’s short- and long- term goals.
- Be a role model for the company culture, establishing credibility with new and existing clientele.
- Recruit, hire, train, and develop new outside sales reps, including the development of a defined training program for local market sales reps.
- Serve as the internal and external evangelist for Solas Energy’s full suite of services, working with the sales team, support team, and key customers as necessary.
- Define and oversee incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve their sales targets.
- Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting communications to both senior leadership and sales teams.
- Leverage customer insights to identify business opportunities and product strategies.
- Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities.
- Align with marketing team to build successful lead generation and client nurturing programs.
- Represent the company through in-person meetings, presentations, and industry and client events to foster key client and partner relationships.
Education and/or Experience
- 10+ years of experience developing, managing, and growing a sales team on a national level.
- Significant B2B sales experience in the renewable energy sector.
- Experience recruiting, hiring, training, and developing a sales team, including sales funnel management and structuring sales quota and revenue expectations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage sales pipeline from prospect to contract.
- Strong client retention track record.
- Strong closing skills with a proven track record of increasing revenue and market share.
- Experience working closely with marketing teams to collaborate on market research and competitive analysis to improve sales efficiency and win rate.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking with an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Extremely data-driven with the ability to perform quantitative data analysis, including developing KPIs and metrics for successful goal attainment.
- Well-versed in utilizing CRM systems to support activity tracking and real-time reporting across the sales organization.
- Excellent organization, communication, and presentation skills.
- Must be willing and able to travel up to 60-75% to both existing and prospective markets, in addition to annual company and client events.
- Close proximity to a major airport is highly preferred.

- This is a full-time, non-exempt position. This position will be located remotely. Salary will depend on experience level and will have a base plus bonus structure.

The Consulting Services Manager will lead the Consulting department for Solas Energy – US. The Manager will have Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibility for the department, will oversee execution for all consulting projects, and will be responsible for developing and supervising all personnel within the department. Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Oversee, direct, and support all consulting work.
- Manage the scope, schedule, budget, and quality of client contracts.
- Serve as the primary client manager for consulting and due diligence work; maintain contact with key clients and customers.

- 10 years’ experience performing project development or consulting with at least 5 years in a senior position managing renewable energy and energy storage projects, and 3 years performing project due diligence activities.
- Technical working knowledge of environmental assessments, phase 1 site assessments, wildlife and biological studies, hazardous materials surveys, SWPPP requirements, consultations with state and federal agencies, archeological and biological site studies, and other field studies as required.
- Technical working knowledge of power markets, interconnection applications and queues, off-take strategies, wind and solar resource methodologies, stakeholder and siting issues, non-recourse project finance methodology and practices, wind, solar and energy storage technologies, and construction best practices.
- Completed degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or other relevant field. Master’s degree or MBA preferred.

Solas Energy is seeking an experienced, motivated, and conscientious environmental professional for a full-time position. Environmental Project Managers are representatives of Solas Energy and will interact with both external clients and internal staff in a professional manner. The Environmental Project Manager will collaborate with other Solas Energy team members to oversee environmental compliance and permitting activities on behalf of Solas Energy’s clients for projects under development, construction, or in operations. Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Manages the permitting process and environmental compliance of renewable energy projects.
- Conduct agency permit negotiations on behalf of Solas Energy clients.
- Serve as agency point of contact to represent renewable energy projects.
- Respond to routine external correspondence
- Conducts due diligence on environmental and permitting project status, provides guidance on project permitting strategies
- Maintain electronic and hard copy filing systems while maintaining confidentiality.
- Review or draft technical reports on topics including but not limited to wildlife, sound, wetlands, visual assessment, habitat mitigation, and annual compliance reporting. Assists in drafting reports for renewable energy permitting applications.
- Develop and conduct annual compliance training for operational energy facilities.
- Provides and or coordinates support for development and permitting activities as needed.
- Provides and or coordinates support to Project Managers as needed.
- Arranges for and organizes regularly scheduled project meetings to facilitate, confirm and communicate status of progress.
- Has secondary/support responsibility for reviewing and providing comments to the Project Manager on project work products.
- Assists with other office tasks, as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Five to ten years’ experience in permitting and/or environmental compliance, with preferred experience in utility scale renewable energy projects.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing wildlife and biological studies, critical issues analysis, waste management and hazardous material compliance, SWPPP, SPCC, annual compliance reporting, NEPA or state-EPA permitting, consultations with local, state and federal agencies.
- Prior supervisory skills not required but preferred.
- GIS experience preferred but not required.
- Experience with regulatory compliance (NERC, FERC) preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in biology, engineering, environmental science, or related field.
- Strong technical writing and editing aptitude.
- Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn and contribute.
- Knowledge of operation of standard office equipment including strong proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.

Purpose of Position
Solas Energy Consulting US Inc. headquartered in Fort Collins, is seeking a proficient, thorough, and adaptable Quality Assurance/Quality Control Mechanical/Electrical Engineer to work on a consistent full-time basis. Prospective applicants should have a passion for the field of renewable energy. This position will primarily provide field support for construction projects and will expose the employee to utility scale wind, solar and other renewable energy technologies; heavy construction, and other areas within the renewable energy market segment. Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Support the electrical design, engineering, and construction of renewable energy projects. Provide electrical and mechanical technical support to the project teams.
- Monitor contract performance against project milestones, budget, and other established metrics.
- Perform technical contract reviews for construction and procurement contracts.
- Assist project teams with the review of all key electrical project documents and updates owner obligation in the project obligation log. Manage the organizational responses to electrical RFIs and submittals based on the design requirements and contract documents. Manage the compliance review of all EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) electrical project job books for all scopes of work.
- Arrange for and organize regularly scheduled project meetings to facilitate, confirm and communicate status of progress and assign tasks. Coordinate, prepare, and provide regular updates of the electrical project execution plan and schedule including engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
- Assist Project Manager by providing technical comments on other agreements as needed. Develop preliminary design, specifications, and estimates.
- Read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, professional journals, technical procedures, contracts, or governmental regulations. Determine best layout of collection system; including consideration of constraints such as overhead/underground, follow roads/cross country, and junction box locations.
- Support the creation and review of solar array layouts and production reports.
- Review manufacturer’s data to ensure scope compliance, including wiring requirements and electrical characteristics (i.e., grounding requirements, power factor ranges, lightning protection requirements, generator outputs, etc.).
- Support field staff in completing medium and high voltage field inspections and coordinating commissioning activities to ensure the project is being constructed per the project documents.
- Support project developers by assisting with site specific design parameters in interconnection agreements and power-off take arrangements, financing agreements, equity acquisition agreements and requests for proposals related to the projects/sites.
- Care for and sustain business relationships with multiple clients.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
- Electrical construction internship experience with an emphasis on electrical construction of renewable energy projects
- Technical working knowledge of wind turbines, solar panels, battery energy storage systems, electrical construction practices, scheduling and budgeting, reporting, safety best practices, bidding and estimating

Compensation and Benefits
- This is a Full time, Salaried, Exempt position. This position is a traveling position and location will be dependent on the project. Salary will depend on experience level. Per diem is paid at or around the standard GSA rate for traveling positions. Per diem ranges are tax free depending on the length and location of deployment.
- Compensation range 65k-85k plus bonus, depending on experience.
