Solas Energy Consulting US, headquartered in Fort Collins, Colorado, is seeking a full-time Renewable Energy Project Manager with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Project and Construction Management within multiple areas of renewable energy. The Project Manager will be a passionate and motivated individual who is easily adaptable and has a strong technical foundation to provide services across a wide range of active projects, including those in the project development, design, construction, and operational phases. The Renewable Energy Project Manager will guide renewable projects through the design, construction, and turnover process, interfacing with clients, contractors, suppliers, utilities, power purchasers, and other stakeholders. Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Assist clients in the project development and project management of renewable energy projects throughout the project life cycle – from development to construction to operational hand-off.
- Assist Solas Energy in business development efforts to grow the business, including client relations, proposal development, and attendance at conferences and workshops.
- Develop plans and estimates for projects, including equipment and construction pricing, labor rates and schedules, and productivity estimates.
- Establish and review construction budgets, maintain construction schedules, review work scopes, and review and respond to RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Coordinate external bidding process required to procure goods and services necessary for all phases of project execution, including preparation of bid packages, evaluation of proposals, contract negotiations, and recommendations to senior management.
- Support project developers in developing the project and provide assistance to risk management as requested to secure power-off take arrangements, financing agreements, equity acquisition agreements, and requests for proposals related to the projects/sites for which the Project Manager is responsible.
- Work in partnership with the consulting team to ensure a seamless transition of sites into the construction phase.
- Provide leadership for the on-site project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals and adhere to their responsibilities and project milestones.
- Perform commercial and technical contract reviews for construction and procurement contracts.
- Review comments and negotiate project change orders.
- Review and comment on progress payment applications.
- Ensure successful QA/QC and commissioning process.
- Assist in dispute, negotiation, arbitration, or litigation, as needed.
- Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools, and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization.

Education and/or Experience
- Prior experience as a project manager or project developer responsible for the development, design, engineering, and construction of utility-scale wind, solar, and/or battery energy storage projects is a requirement for this position.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or construction management with a PE and/or PMP credential preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering and construction project management of utility-scale energy projects, with utility-scale renewable energy project experience preferred.

Solas Energy is seeking an experienced Construction Manager responsible for site supervision and construction management services on behalf of the project owner from mobilization through demobilization for utility-scale wind, solar, energy storage, or hybrid projects. Duties include general site supervision and day-to-day contract execution management of EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction), high voltage (HV), and other major contractors and vendors. The Construction Manager will supervise and verify the quality assurance functions and documentation performed on-site for the project’s benefit until the final turnover of the facility to the owner. The Construction Manager will act on behalf of the project Owner to monitor safety and all aspects of the project execution, support landowner relations, and act as the project liaison for local authorities. Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and coordinate activities at the project site, including general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and related work for wind, solar, and energy storage projects.
- Oversee construction contractor as Owner’s representative for all construction activities, including the construction of roads, foundations, high-voltage electrical work, substations, wind turbine erection, and other project-related infrastructure at the project site.
- Work with estimator and project manager regarding subcontracts, project scheduling, change orders, and controlling the costs of the project within the approved budget.
- Acts as the primary contact with general contractors and subcontractors in the field communicates effectively and responsibly.
- Responsible for reviewing specifications and drawings, executing site QA/QC activities, and communicating any issues and discrepancies to the appropriate party.
- Schedule and supervise daily tasks of project team members and prioritize work to meet project goals, including deadlines, cost targets, and project schedules.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Support the civil design, engineering, and construction of renewable energy projects. Provide civil technical support to the project teams.
- Monitor contract performance against project milestones, budget, and other established metrics.
- Perform technical contract reviews for construction and procurement contracts.
- Assist project teams with the review of all key civil project documents and update owner obligations in the project obligation log. Manage the organizational responses to civil RFIs and submittals based on the design requirements and contract documents. - Arrange for and organize regularly scheduled project meetings to facilitate, confirm, and communicate the status of progress and assign tasks. Coordinate, prepare, and provide regular updates on the civil project execution plan and schedule including engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
- Assist the Project Manager by providing technical comments on other agreements as needed. Develop preliminary design, specifications, and estimates.
- Establish the project engineering, procurement, and construction budget and conduct regular reviews and reporting to Accounting on forecasted expenditures.
- Read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, professional journals, technical procedures, contracts, or governmental regulations.
- Assist Construction Manager(s) overseeing civil quality control during the execution of the project and ensure compliance with reporting requirements under EPC contracts and lender agreements. Work in partnership with the development department to ensure a seamless transition of sites into the construction phase. Work with the operations team to define the requirements for adequate project turnover.
- Support field staff in completing civil field inspections and coordinating activities to ensure the project is being constructed per project documents.
- Inspect civil works including roads, grading, and foundations to ensure compliance with design documents and specifications.
- Obtain a drone pilot license (sponsored by Solas Energy) and perform QA/QC activities using aerial imagery.
- Oversee road installation and improvements.

The Head of US Consulting Services will lead the Consulting Department for Solas Energy – US only. The employee will have profit and loss (P&L) responsibility for the US consulting department, will oversee the execution of all US-directed consulting projects, and will be responsible for developing and supervising all personnel within the US Consulting Department. Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

- Manage P&L for US due diligence and US consulting services.
- Develop US revenue targets, US annual budgets, and Canadian and US strategic goals, and monitor US performance under those budgets and goals for the US Consulting Department.
- Facilitate strategic growth within the US Consulting Department; conduct business development to achieve growth goals for US and Canadian offices.
- Oversee and manage the US personnel and US subcontractors assigned to the US Consulting Department and Due Diligence Services Group, including staff support, career development, and management.
- Establish US client project consulting budgets and review and approve US invoicing activities.
- Coordinate the preparation and regular updates of project execution plans for US clients.
- Coordinate with Solas Energy Canada for the utilization of personnel and resources across regions
- Identify appropriate US subcontractors to provide support as needed.
- Oversee standardization of US company processes and procedures to create or increase efficiencies across Solas Energy’s US Consulting Department.
- Identify key resources and skills needed to support US organizational growth.
- Maintain indirect responsibility for the work product of all US project team members.

Education and/or Experience
- 10 years’ experience performing project development or consulting with at least 5 years in a senior position managing renewable energy and energy storage projects, and 3 years performing project due diligence activities.
- Technical working knowledge of environmental aspects of projects including Phase 1 site assessments, wildlife and biological studies, agency coordination, hazardous materials surveys, SWPPP requirements, archeological and biological site studies, and other field studies as required.
- Technical working knowledge of power markets, interconnection applications and queues, off-take strategies, wind and solar resource methodologies, stakeholder and siting issues, project financing, US IRA provisions, wind, solar, and energy storage technologies.
- Completed degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or another relevant field. Master’s degree or MBA preferred.

Purpose of Position
Solas Energy Consulting US Inc. headquartered in Fort Collins, Colorado, is seeking a proficient, thorough, and adaptable Quality Assurance/Quality Control Electrical Manager to work on a consistent, full-time basis. Prospective applicants should have a passion for the field of renewable energy. This position will primarily provide field support for construction projects and will expose the employee to utility-scale wind, solar and other renewable energy technologies, heavy construction, and other areas within the renewable energy market segment. The Quality Assurance/Quality Control Electrical Manager will assist in the construction management of renewable energy projects (primarily utility-scale wind, PV, and battery energy storage) on behalf of Solas Energy’s clients for projects under development, construction, or in operations. This is a full time, salaried, exempt position. This position is a traveling position and deployment to specific locations and duration of said deployments will be dependent on the project. - Support the creation and review of SCADA systems associated with renewable power facilities, including basic topology and functionality.

Solas Energy is seeking an experienced, motivated, and conscientious environmental professional for a full-time position. Environmental Project Managers are representatives of Solas Energy and will interact with both external clients and internal staff in a professional manner. The Environmental Project Manager will collaborate with other Solas Energy team members to oversee environmental compliance and permitting activities on behalf of Solas Energy’s clients for projects under development, construction, or in operations. Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Manages the permitting process and environmental compliance of renewable energy projects.
- Conduct agency permit negotiations on behalf of Solas Energy clients.
- Serve as agency point of contact to represent renewable energy projects.
- Respond to routine external correspondence
- Conducts due diligence on environmental and permitting project status, provides guidance on project permitting strategies
- Maintain electronic and hard copy filing systems while maintaining confidentiality.
- Review or draft technical reports on topics including but not limited to wildlife, sound, wetlands, visual assessment, habitat mitigation, and annual compliance reporting. Assists in drafting reports for renewable energy permitting applications.
- Develop and conduct annual compliance training for operational energy facilities.
- Provides and or coordinates support for development and permitting activities as needed.
- Provides and or coordinates support to Project Managers as needed.
- Arranges for and organizes regularly scheduled project meetings to facilitate, confirm and communicate status of progress.
- Has secondary/support responsibility for reviewing and providing comments to the Project Manager on project work products.
- Assists with other office tasks, as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Five to ten years’ experience in permitting and/or environmental compliance, with preferred experience in utility scale renewable energy projects.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing wildlife and biological studies, critical issues analysis, waste management and hazardous material compliance, SWPPP, SPCC, annual compliance reporting, NEPA or state-EPA permitting, consultations with local, state and federal agencies.
- Prior supervisory skills not required but preferred.
- GIS experience preferred but not required.
- Experience with regulatory compliance (NERC, FERC) preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in biology, engineering, environmental science, or related field.
- Strong technical writing and editing aptitude.
- Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn and contribute.
- Knowledge of operation of standard office equipment including strong proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills; problem solving skills; ability to take direction
- Strong attention to detail; focus on accuracy, consistency, and quality of work; high degree of integrity & reliability

- Strong attention to detail; focus on accuracy, consistency, and quality of work; high degree of integrity & reliability
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work legally in the United States
Compensation and Benefits
- This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position. This position will be located remotely. Salary will depend on experience level and will have a base plus bonus structure.
- Compensation range 75k-130k plus yearly bonus, depending on experience.
